First Citizens Financial Raises $10 Million in Commitments in a Month

First Citizens Financial Corporation, the holding company for First Citizens Bank of Georgia (In Organization [IO]), has reached $10 million in commitments from charter investors during the 4th week of its stock offering. This announcement was made by Charles Buckner, the bank’s president and chief executive officer.

Buckner anticipates reaching the bank’s minimum capitalization of $12.5 million sometime during December 2006. At that time they will be able to begin collecting money they have commitments on and will continue to raise more capital toward their maximum target of $20 million. The bank’s offering period has been extended to February 28, 2007. However, once minimum capitalization is reached, the organizers and directors of the bank have the right to close the offering at any time. Therefore, for interested investors to be considered, time is of the essence.

“It’s good to be where we are in such a short time because we are nearer to our minimum of $12.5 million,” said Buckner. “Plus, the good news for the community is that there is still time for local individuals to consider becoming a charter investor in our bank,” he continued. The management team and some organizers and directors will continue to host group presentations, where interested investors can attend and learn more about the initial stock offering. Upcoming one-hour presentations (lunch will be provided) for prospective investors are:

Friday, December 8, 2006 at 12:30 pm
Fire Mountain Restaurant
GA 400 @ Hwy. 53
Dawsonville, GA 30534

Reservations for the group presentations must be made by calling 706-216-5900 or emailing info@firstcitizensbankofga.com.
