(Dawson County, GA) Dawson County Emergency Services could earn one of ten $10,000 Fire Safety Pledge Awards with a little help from the community.

Liberty Mutual is partnering with fire departments around the country to help families learn more about fire safety and fire prevention.

“Now through October 31, people can show their community support and learn more about fire safety simply by visiting the Be Fire Smart website and taking the quick online quiz,” said Emergency Services spokesperson Cathy Brooks. “It takes less than two minutes,” she added.

1. Visit www.befiresmart.com.

2. Take the 10 question quiz to test your fire safety smarts then locate Dawson County in the drop down box to receive credit.

3. Spread the word to your family, friends and neighbors. The departments with the most credits win.

Follow the leader board displaying results for the top 50 fire departments in each division in real-time. Dawson County will be listed in medium fire departments.

Not only will you help Dawson County Emergency Services but you will also learn how to help keep your family fire safe. You will not receive any solicitations from Liberty Mutual by participating.
