Fourteen Covenant Christian Academy 4th-6th grade students competed in a preliminary spelling competition on Thursday, February 5th. The winners of the competition, sixth grader Ben Perri and fourth grader Josie Hyden, are the two school finalists and will compete in the Georgia Association of Christian Schools (GACS) state spelling bee in April.
Covenant students who competed in the preliminary competition were: Ryan Maass, Nikki Kelly, Nick Campbell, Vance Lewis-Stepp, Juliane Brown, Ben Perri, Kamerin Richardson, Parker Lewis-Stepp, Lexi Spain, Sami Clark, Josie Hyden, Madelyn Spain, Haley Irons, and Kate Greninger.
Covenant students will also compete in the GACS state competitions for academics, art, music, and speech.
